Why traders fail Hantec Trader challenges
The most common failure causes are tied directly to Hantec Trader's rule set — here are the ones to plan around before paying for an evaluation.

Breaching the absolute balance drawdown
Hantec Trader enforces a drawdown limit on the account balance. Traders typically breach it by oversizing — a single trade that goes against them is enough.
Tip: Cap your risk per trade so a stop-out never approaches the daily or max loss line.

Failing the consistency rule
Hantec Trader enforces a consistency rule (EnhancedX: Your best trading day's profit based on equity at the end of day must not exceed 45% of total profits, this applies to evaluation and funded stage. Instant Funding Lite: Your best trading day's profit based on equity at the end of day must not exceed 20% of total profits). One outsized winning day can disqualify the run even if the profit target is hit.
Tip: Spread profit across multiple sessions — don't double down once you're up. Smaller, repeatable winners pass the rule cleanly.

News trading violations
Hantec Trader restricts news trading: News trading is allowed during evaluation stages, but not allowed 3 minutes before and after high impact news in funded stages and Instant funding accounts. A single trade open during the restricted window — even if it's profitable — can breach the rule.
Tip: Flatten exposure 5+ minutes before high-impact releases. Use an economic calendar — don't rely on memory.

Running disallowed EAs or copy trading
Hantec Trader restricts automation: EAs are not allowed in Instant Funding accounts. Even a single forbidden bot trade can void the run.
Tip: Check the rule list before installing any tool that places trades for you. When unsure, trade manually until you've confirmed in writing.
