The rules that shape every My Funded Futures evaluation, condensed to one line per item.
Fee refund policy
My Funded Futures does not refund the challenge fee. Treat the evaluation cost as a one-time purchase.
Why traders fail My Funded Futures challenges
The most common failure causes are tied directly to My Funded Futures's rule set — here are the ones to plan around before paying for an evaluation.
- 1
Breaching the relative balance drawdown
My Funded Futures's drawdown is relative balance, which means the limit moves up as the account grows. Traders who size positions for the starting balance often blow through the limit after a profitable run-up.
Tip: Recalculate your max risk per trade against the current trailing limit, not the starting balance.
- 2
Failing the consistency rule
My Funded Futures enforces a consistency rule (For Rapid, Pro and Flex programs: 50% consistency rule in the evaluation stage only No Consistency Rule on the 50K Pro + One Day to Pass Add- on with 4,000 Profit Target). One outsized winning day can disqualify the run even if the profit target is hit.
Tip: Spread profit across multiple sessions — don't double down once you're up. Smaller, repeatable winners pass the rule cleanly.
- 3
News trading violations
My Funded Futures restricts news trading: My Funded Futures prohibits exploiting news volatility (e.g., straddles, strangles, or disguised news trades) Tier 1 news has stricter rules: Pro Sim Funded and Rapid Sim Funded accounts cannot trade during T1 events, no open positions/orders 2 minutes before or after T1 data release. while Flex accounts are unrestricted. Traders may trade through non-T1 news only if following their normal strategy, but MFFU is not liable for broker disruptions during news. A single trade open during the restricted window — even if it's profitable — can breach the rule.
Tip: Flatten exposure 5+ minutes before high-impact releases. Use an economic calendar — don't rely on memory.
- 4
Not meeting the minimum trading days
My Funded Futures requires at least 2 trading days on the evaluation. Hitting the profit target faster doesn't fast-track you — the day count gates the pass.
Tip: Plan for the day count from day 1. Place at least one position-managed trade per required day, even if you're already in profit.
Who My Funded Futures fits
Good fit if you trade like this:
- Algorithmic and EA traders — automation is permitted.
- Traders who prefer a single-phase evaluation over a longer 2-step process.
Look elsewhere if any of these apply:
- News-event traders — releases are off-limits or heavily restricted.
- Swing traders — all positions must be flat by Friday close.
- High-variance traders relying on a single big day — the consistency rule will block the pass.
